Zoë “Zed” Badowska (pronounced BAD-OFF-SKA) is an English writer and editor. She is a science and nature enthusiast, and has a growing collection of fountain pens and notebooks. Unfortunately, most of the notebooks are far too beautiful to write in.
Zoë is a self-confessed nerd who enjoys sneaking elements of real-world science into her imagined realms. She writes speculative fiction as Zed Badowska and is currently editing her first novel, an urban fantasy exploring themes of fate, grief and love, and the ties between the living and the dead.
Research for her novel inspired her to embark on a seven-year physics degree whilst working in the legal industry. Following her graduation, she completed Faber Academy’s Writing a Novel course and became a freelance editor. She has copyedited fiction and non-fiction, including over 1300 scientific journal articles for a major open-access publisher.
